The way people interact and communicate on the website is very important, not just for feedback but also for discovering common interests that are linked with the business and in general.

Default post settings: Enable one, several or all options

  • Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the post
  • Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks) on new posts
  • Allow people to submit comments on new posts

Other comment settings: Enable one, several or all options

  • Comment author must fill out name and email.
  • Users must be registered and logged in to comment.
  • Automatically close comments on posts older than X number of days.
  • Show comments cookies opt-in checkbox, allowing comment author cookies to be set.
  • Enable threaded (nested) comments 2-10 levels deep (how large the thread displayed will be).
  • Break comments into pages with X number top level comments per page and the first/last page displayed by default.
  • Comments should be displayed with the older/newer comments at the top of each page.

Email me whenever:

  • Anyone posts a comment
  • A comment is held for moderation

Before a comment appears:

  • Comment must be manually approved
  • Comment author must have a previously approved comment

Comment Moderation: Hold a comment in the queue if it contains x number or more links. (A common characteristic of comment spam is a large number of hyperlinks.) When a comment contains any of these words in its content, author name, URL, email, IP address, or browser’s user agent string, it will be held in the moderation queue. One word or IP address per line. It will match inside words, so “press” will match “WordPress”.

Textbox available to define with content specified in the comment will be moved to the moderation queue.

Enable Comment & Review Editing: Active ability to edit comment by the user.
Countdown Edit Timer (m): Define how much time the user has to edit the comment (If value is 0, the user will be able to edit forever).
Countdown Design: Display countdown by using words or numbers.

Save Changes in order to apply any amendments made to the default settings.
